Jovan Suengas Jr., also known as Moldy (b. 1998, Miami, Florida), is a Hispanic American artist specializing in textile art and fashion. Drawing from his background in graphic design and graffiti, Moldy creates a dynamic body of work using a range of techniques. Carefully selecting each material, breathing new life into secondhand garments with each stitch.
Moldy studied Visual Arts for four years at Miami Arts Charter before transferring to Design and Architecture Senior High (DASH), where he focused on Graphic Design. Inspired by peers and mentors, he later withdrew from DASH to homeschool and dual-enroll at Broward College, accelerating his education while gaining real-world experience in graphic design, film, and videography.
In 2021, Moldy founded IFISM, a clothing brand and collective where he took on the role of artistic director, channeling his passion for fashion and textile art. He continues to explore his creative voice as he cultivates a growing audience on his journey of personal and artistic discovery.
